The National Integrated Identity Management System (NIIMS), code-named Huduma Namba, is a national programme for integrated biometric registration of all Kenyan citizens and foreigners residing in the country. It seeks to establish a master population register that will be the single source of truth on a person’s identification in Kenya.

The Huduma Namba Portal is an online registration system for the Kenyan Diaspora. It will enhance the Huduma Namba registration process by pre-filling data capture form online.

So, this is the process; a Kenyan in the Diaspora registers by filling the data capture form online. A serial number is issued upon successful filling in of the form. This serial number is presented to a Huduma Namba Registration Assistant (RA) at any of the listed Kenyan Missions for capture of fingerprint biometrics, passport photo and identification document(s) to complete the registration process.

The data collected from this exercise will be securely stored and shared with different government agencies to facilitate Strategic Planning in the country.

The identification documents requirement are: National Identity card/Kenyan Passport for those over 18 years and Birth certificate for those under 18 years.
